Here is the list of steps to be followed for pre-enrolment:
• Fill in the pre-enrolment form on the
www.tourismmanagement.it website (or from the link on www.mtm.iulm.it
homepage or in the“Admissions” section); remember to fill in
all compulsory spaces and pages in the form (student; level of education; language
competences; motivations; other information)
• Click on the button "Completed" at the bottom of the page;
•Print out and sign the application report which appears at the
end of the online procedure containing all the information you put into the form
• Pay € 100 by a bank transfer or credit card; this
sum will be detracted from the admission fee, if enrolment is confirmed. No return
is due if the candidate fails to confirm registration or is not admitted
• Post the following documents:
- curriculum vitae;
- copy of one’s tax code;
- copy of passport or home country Identity Document;
- copy of the application report (downloadable after pre-enrolment);
- copy of pre-enrolment fee receipt;
- degree certificate listing individual exams - Italian nationals only - (students
who graduate after the beginning of the master should attach a copy of the application
certificate listing individual exams taken to that date);
to the address:
Università IULM – Coordinamento Master in Tourism Management –
Via Carlo Bo 1, 20143 Milano -Italy
The Direction of the Master will then contact you for selections (see specific section
for selections).
2) Where do I find the pre-enrolment form?
You will find the pre-enrolment form at the address www.tourismmanagement.it
or as a link in the home page and in the “Admissions” section of our
website www.mtm.iulm.it.
3) Do I have to print out and post the form that I have filled in?
No, this is not necessary. The whole pre-enrolment procedure is
carried out online. When you finish filling in the form, press the button “Completed”
at the bottom of the page and your completed form will be sent directly. The
only thing you have to print out and post to us is the application report that appears
on your screen after you have completed the online pre-enrolment procedure.
This is a summary of the information you put in the sections “Student”
and “Level of education”.
4) When I go to the page containing the form I have to choose between two alternatives:
sign in and log in. Which alternative should I choose?
If this is your first entry to the form you must register. To do this, fill in the
boxes you see in the “Apply now” area and click on “Completed”.
At this point you have to choose a user name and a password. Don’t forget
them: you’ll need them to get into the form. If you have already signed in
but have not yet filled in the form write your login and password in the “log
in” area. This gives you access to your own personal form, with
the information you saved last time you logged in.
5) Do I have to fill in all the boxes on the form?
Yes, you do. You have to fill in all compulsory pages (student;
level of education; language competencies; motivations; other information) and boxes
on the form. Compulsory information is marked with an asterisk. If you skip any
compulsory information you will not be able to complete the form. When you click
on “Completed”, the system will show you which item of information is
missing by colouring the missing field in red.
6) On the last page the form asks me to accept the conditions for the handling of
personal data (privacy clause). Do I necessarily have to accept these?
Yes, you do. If you do not accept them you cannot complete the
form.
7) Can I save a partially completed form and return to it later?
Yes. You can write in some information, save it and continue later.
Just remember to save all changes regularly or before closing in order to avoid
losing them.
8) Why does the information I have already filled in disappear when I re-open the page
to complete the form?
This happens if you do not save your changes on the form before
you exit the page. Remember to save regularly in order to avoid losing the information
you inserted. Every 60 minutes, changes that have not been saved will be lost. In
order to save, click on the button “Save” at the bottom of the page.e.
9) After filling in the form and clicking on the button “Completed”,
an error occurs and I can’t complete it. Why is this?
This normally happens when the user has forgotten to fill in some information. So,
check all compulsory pages and boxes to discover what has been left out: missing
fields are coloured in red. If you have filled in all required information there
may be a problem with the system. In this case write an email to master.turismo@iulm.it or call us
at +39 02 891412815 and we will help you.
10) On the “Student” page of the form I am asked for the “tax
code”. What is this?
All students, both Italian and foreign, must have an Italian Tax Code
(codice fiscale) in order to be able to submit the on-line application. The tax
code is an aphanumerical code of 16 numbers and letters that is compulsory for paying
taxes and all fees in Italy; without it you cannot pay or complete your enrolment.
11) How do I get a tax code?
In order to obtain this code you have to call or go to the Italian Consulate of
your home country and they will issue one for you in a short time. We suggest
that you show the Consulate a print out of the web page where we ask for your tax
code, so as to justify the request. Italian Consulates in every country
are obliged to issue the tax code to non – Italian citizens for purposes of
fee payment.
For any problems, please contact
master.turismo@iulm.it or call us at +39 02 891412815
12) The “Motivations” page contains several questions. How important
are my answers in the evaluation and selection process?
They are extremely important. We ask these questions in order to
evaluate the motivations behind your interest in taking part in the Master. If you
really want to join the Master, please give detailed and interesting answers.
13) The “Other Information” page asks me to attach a CV and a photo.
Are they compulsory?
The CV is compulsory, while the photo
is not.
14) How do I attach the CV to the form?
In order to attach the CV to the form, just click on the "search"
button to find the file with your CV on your personal computer; then select it so
that it appears in the textbox. Finally, click on the word "attach" (in
blue next to the textbox). Now your CV is attached.
15) Do I have to pay before or after admission?
